Biography

Wales- Emma R. Royea, 81, passed away in her home in S. Windham, Ct on November 3, 2013 with her family by her side. Emma was formerly from Wales, MA. Emma is the daughter of late Asa and Freida Shover. Emma was born in West Charleston, Vermont. She worked at Ware Woolen in Ware, MA and retired from Hale manufacturing in Stafford, Ct in 1994. In her spare time Emma liked volunteering at the Wales Fire Dept. and for the Veterans of Wars. Emma was also a member of the Wales Aux. V.F.W. Post #2596 and the Wales Baptist Church. Emma also enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

Emma leaves behind her husband Stewart I. Royea Sr. of Wales, MA and also her son Stewart Jr. and wife Ruth, daughter Donna of CT., son Shayne Sr. and wife Laurie, daughter Vicki and fiance` David, son Bryan and wife Felicia, daughter Kathi, son Edward and wife Debbie all of MA; daughter Juanita and husband Anthony of CT and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Emma also leaves her brothers Wilbert and Francis (Reggie) of MA and two sisters Kathleen and Peggy of Vermont. Emma was predeceased by sisters Ella and Wanda of MA and Mildred of VT. We all love you and you will forever be in our hearts!!!!!!

Emma's family will receive family and friends at Lombard Funeral Home Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 5-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 10am in Wales Baptist Church located on Main St of Wales, at 10am. Burial will follow in Wales #4 Cemetery on Laurel Hill Road in Wales.
