Biography
Elisabeth S. Pratt, 99, a longtime resident of Monson, died peacefully, Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Reeds Landing in Springfield. Born in Beverly, MA October 19, 1911, to the late Homer W. and Doris L (Sutcliff) Squier, she has lived in Monson since she was one. Mrs Pratt was a graduate of Monson High School class of 1929 and was also a graduate of BayPath College. Elisabeth was the secretary/bookkeeper at McCray's Garage in Monson for 55 years, retiring in 1988. A short time later, she began working as the office secretary at the Monson Senior Center retiring in 2005. Mrs. Pratt was an active 85 year member of the Monson Unitarian Universalist Parish. She was also a volunteer for the Red Cross and received the Monson Rotary Club Citizen of the Year Award.
Mrs. Pratt was predeceased by her husband Quinten R. Pratt in 1971; a son, Kenneth R. Pratt in 2008 and her sisters Eunice Gould and Priscilla Squier. She leaves her son Thomas R. Pratt and his wife Theresa of Somers, CT. She will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many friends.
