Biography

Ware-Elaine Ethel (Harris) Robbins passed away on Monday June 2, 2014 at the age of 86. Elaine is predeceased by her loving husband Andrew Royce Robbins of 43 years, were they lived for many happy years in Monson, MA and her parents Earl & Lena Harris of Agawam.

Elaine is lovingly remembered by her three sons, Paul & Jeanne Robbins, Warwick, MA, Charles Robbins, Palmer, MA, and Robert Robbins and his partner Diane Ridgway, Monson, MA. Her six grandchildren, Jennifer Chabott and her husband Daniel of Northfield, MA, Katheryn Cavanaugh and her husband Garrett of Monson, MA, Andrew Sanford of Hartford, CT, Michelle Lucco and her Husband Peter of West Hartford, CT, Adam and Nicholas Robbins of Jefferson City, MO. As well as by her six great grandchildren, Daniel, Kaleigh, Christopher, Hannah, Hailey, and Emily.

Elaine will be greatly missed by her twin sister Shirley Edna Tatro, of Henniker, NH and Nieces Leola and Darlene.

Elaine was born in Springfield, MA, November 15, 1927. She earned her LPN certificate and spent many years working with the Shriners hospital.

Elaine and her husband Andrew enjoyed raising and caring for their many Bassett Hounds and traveled to many field trials with their dogs and family.



Visiting hours will be held Friday morning from 9:45-10:45am in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge Street Monson, Liturgy of Christian Burial will begin at 11am in St. Patrick's Church also in Monson. Burial will follow at St. Anne's Cemetery in the Three Rivers section of Palmer. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dakin Humane Society, PO Box 6307 Springfield, MA 01101-6307.
