Palmer-Edward Szlachetka passed away suddenly on October 25, 2024. Born December 3, 1937 to Joseph and Mary (Kurasz) Szlachetka. He is predeceased by his siblings Stanley (Dora) Jaworski, Viola Jaworski, Bertha (John) Barnish, Jennie (Henry) Prasol, Sophie (Leo) White, Rose (Edward) Prasol, Jane (Herbert) Hayde.

He leaves his wife of 62 years Eleanor (Plumley) Szlachetka, son Peter (Colleen) Szlachetka, daughter Sandra (Victor) Szlachetka, granddaughter Nicole llsie, great granddaughter Alaina, grandson Christian Szlachetka and many nieces and nephews and dear cousins.

Eddie worked at Zero Manufacturing for many years as a tool and die maker. He also ran a small engine repair business where he required customers to listen to his political views.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 4-6 pm at Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson MA. Funeral services will begin at Lombard Funeral Home at 9:45 am November 8, 2024 with a procession to St. Thomas Church, 1076 Thorndike St in Palmer for an 11 o'clock Funeral Mass. Burial will be held at a later date.
