Edna R (Robak) Gola

Monson- Edna R. (Robak) Gola, 92, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015.  Edna was born in the Bondsville section of Palmer, September 19, 1923 to the late Maciej and Mary (Starzyk) Robak.  She was a graduate of Palmer High School and has lived in Monson for many years.  Edna was a secretary at the wire mill in Palmer known as Wickwire, she then worked as a secretary for the Massachusetts Department of Assistance until her retirement.  Edna was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Monson and a former member of the Monson Garden Club. She enjoyed reading the daily newspaper and listening to classical music.

Edna was predeceased by her husband John E. Gola in 2005.  She leaves her son John E. Gola Jr and his wife Terri; grandchildren Catherine Gola and her fiancee Daniel Rioux, John A Gola, and Hannah Gola.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, December 11, 2015 from 4-7 at Lombard Funeral Home.  Funeral services will begin Saturday December 12, 2015 at 9:15 in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Patrick's Church, burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery also in Monson.
