Monson- Douglas A. "Dougy" Dugay , 64, passed a way Friday, July 26, 2019. He was born in Lowell, MA, August 13, 1954 to the late Walter Dugay and Barbara (Colby) (Dugay) Campbell. Doug was a resident of Monson for many years. He served in the US Army from 1972-1975 and was Honorably discharged. Doug was a heavy equipment operator and worked for several companies over the years including the Town of Monson, Monson Sand and Gravel, Central Vermont Rail Road, Ondrick's Construction and PayneGang, Inc. He was a member of Quaboag Riders and the Monson American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and constructing bird houses in his free time.
Doug leaves a son, Jason Dugay and his wife Crystal of W. Suffield, CT, daughters; Elizabeth A. Dugay of Wilbraham and Cortney M. Dugay of Monson; a sister, Janet Wadhams and her husband Jesse of Monson; brothers Tom Dugay and his wife Yvonne of Colorado Springs, Co and Eric Dugay of Belchertown; nine grandchildren, Alexis, Felicia, Korissa, Ashleigh, Kadenze, Gavin, Brock, Emma and Ben and several nieces and nephews. Doug was predeceased by a son Adam D. Dugay in 2013.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019 beginning at 2pm with Military Honors at 3pm in the Polish American Citizens Club 7 Bliss St. Monson, MA 01057.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 241, PO Box 76 Monson MA 01057 memo: Legion Scholarship Fund.
