Dorothy E. Greene, 92, of Colonial Park, died Sunday, October 4, 2009. Born in Wales to the late Walter P. and Sadie (Royce) Baker, she was a longtime resident of Wales before moving to Brimfield 28 years ago. She owned and operated, along with her husband, Albert E. Greene, Greene Service Station in Wales for many years. Dorothy was also the owner and operator of a school bus that transported both elementary and high school students for the Town of Wales before her retirement. She was a member of the Wales Baptist Church and served in many capacities over the years. Dorothy loved to read the Bible, had a love of animals, especially cats, and was a former member of the Brimfield Grange.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Albert E. Greene in 1957 and a sister Madalyn Heck in 1963. She leaves her son Albert W. Greene and his wife Lynn of Wales; two grandsons David Greene and his wife Nancy of Wilbraham and Joseph Greene and his wife Wendi of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina and five great grandchildren Patrick, Abigail, Isaiah, Bryan and Daniel as well as many cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2009 in the Wales Baptist Church located on Main St. in Wales at 1pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wales Baptist Church PO Box 256 Wales, MA 01081.
