Wales- Dorothy Lois (Bradway) Bliss, 86, died Tuesday, February 25, 2014, surrounded by the love of family. She was born in Monson, January 30, 1928, to the late Ellsworth H. and Mary P. (Norcross) Bradway. Dorothy graduated from Hitchcock Free Academy in Brimfield. She met and married the love of her life, Raymond in 1948 and they have been married 65 years. The both joked and called it a life sentence but were always happy with each other. Dorothy was a member of the Wales Baptist Church, she loved to quilt, sew, read, and loved to cook for her family and friends.

Dorothy leaves her husband Raymond; their children Susan Hagen, Janice Robbins and her husband Lee; four grandchildren, Melissa Hagen, and her partner Andre Cadieux, Daniel and Shauna Hagen, David and Renee Gow, Andrew Gow and his partner Crystal Pinto. She also leaves her funny and loving great grandkids, Desiree Hagen, Samantha Wells, Timothy Hagen, Stephanie, Kaelyn and Lilly Gow, Aiden and Margaret Gow. She leaves her brothers; Charles Bradway, Donald Bradway and his wife Louise; and her sister Bonnie Matos; brother and sister in-laws, Howard and Eleanor Bliss, Susan Bliss, Doris Yates, Barbara and John Anderson and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by a son Glenn Steven Bliss and a niece Tracey Lane. Dorothy and Raymond hold a special place in their hearts for their adopted daughter and son in-law Linda and Rick Cundy and friends Joan and George Coleman and Mary Ann Hamilton from Florida, along with all her friends from the Wales Baptist Church.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 1-4 at Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson. A memorial service will be held Monday March 3, 2014 at 10am in the Wales Baptist Church, Main St. in Wales. The family would like to thank Kate, Sarah and Elaine from Guardian Hospice in Sturbridge for their loving care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Guardian Hospice 419 Main St. Sturbridge, MA 01566 or to the Wales Baptist Church Main St. Wales, MA 01081.
