Doris Roberts Haley McKenna
1919-2014
Monson- Doris Roberts Haley McKenna, born In Three Rivers to Emma and Dellus Roberts on June 30, 1919. She has lived in Monson since 1969. She did secretarial work for forty years. Doris was an avid traveler. She had a passionate curiosity and a joie de vivre. In her own words "She had a great run"
She was predeceased by her husbands, Leonard C. Haley, Gerald V. McKenna and by her son Peter A. McKenna also by her longtime companion Edward Dunne and lifelong friends Mary Austin and Henry Dinelle.
She is survived by her two sons. Douglas R. Haley of Somerville, MA. Leonard M. Haley his wife Deidre Sheedy, and her Grandson Jackson Haley of Concord, MA. Her nieces Regina Schlesinger, Edna Watson, Carol Hulett, Ruth Soglia, Olive St. Germain and Marion Poulin. Her lifelong friend Beverly Dinelle and Sandy Carter. Caregivers and friends June Henrich, Paula Berthume, Alice Taylor and Sarah Morin.
Visiting Hours will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Lombard Funeral Home in Monson from 3-5pm. Funeral services will begin Thursday October 2, 2014 at 9:15 am with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Patrick's Church in Monson. Burial will follow at Thomas Cemetery in Palmer.
