Biography

Monson-"My best friend, husband, dad, grandfather and brother, who was surrounded by his loving family, has gone to rest". Donald "Diesel, DP & Donnie" Peck was born in Palmer, MA, November 8, 1955. Donald is predeceased by his parents Joanne and Lawrence Peck of Monson, his grandparents Vicky and Frank Peck, Rachael and Lawrence Peck and his father in-law Laurier Letendre. He is survived by his loving wife Laurel, his children, Renee Peck and companion Leon Johnson of Ware, Donald and Jenn Peck of Sixteen Acres, and Christopher Peck of Monson. His grandchildren Natalie, Alex and Jeremy; his loving mother in-law Sandra Letendre; brothers Glen Peck and his wife Karen of Monson, Tony Peck of California; sisters Debbie Rooney and her husband James of Alabama, Diane Monette and her husband Dennis of Three Rivers. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.


Donald worked for several years for State-Line Potato Chips and Tony's Pizza before retiring. He enjoyed playing sports and watching sports with his children and grandchildren. He was also a big music lover going to concerts with his children and grandchildren. His greatest enjoyment was having his family together having cookouts, wiffle ball games and trips to Maine. The family would like to thank the D'Amour Center, Dr. McCann, Donna Rose and Mimi for all their kindness and care.



Visiting hours will be held Wednesday May 14, 2014 from 5-8pm in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson. A funeral service will be Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 10am in the First Church of Monson, 5 High St. Monson. A private graveside burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Baystate VNA & Hospice or D'Amour Center for Cancer Care 280 Chestnut St., 6th Floor, Springfield, MA 01199. .
