Daniel H Wiesner

Palmer- Daniel H. Wiesner, 91, of Palmer passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023.  Dan was born in Springfield, February 4, 1932 to the late Henry and Mildred (Jones) Wiesner.  He was a graduate of Springfield Trade Class of 1949.  Dan served in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1953.

Dan lived in Hampden, Monson, Brimfield, and Palmer while working at Monsanto Chemical.  He retired after 33 years and spent over 25 years wintering in Florida during his retirement years. He was a member of the former Glendale United Methodist Church in Wilbraham. He was also a member of the NAFCA, camping club.  He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and being outdoors.

Dan was predeceased by his wife Pearl D. Wiesner.  He leaves his children, James Wiesner of Wilmington, VT, Richard Wiesner and his wife Doreen of Palmer and Deborah Saffer and her husband Kevin of Jacksonville, FL; six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his brother Herman H. Wiesner, granddaughter, Kelly Ann Wiesner and great granddaughter, Taylor.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 5-7pm at Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson. A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 10am in the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Monson.
