Monson-Clifford J. Scott, 74, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease, surrounded by his loving family, July 2, 2022. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served as Sergeant in the US Army.

Clifford was born in Springfield to the late John and Bessie (Fuller) Scott of Monson. It was here in Monson where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Kathy, prior to his deployment in Vietnam. Upon his return, Clifford and Kathy moved to Palmer where they raised their family for 29 years before building their retirement home in Monson.
Clifford was an independent contractor and builder through his business, General Services, as well as a Construction Loan Inspector and Corporate Member at Monson Savings Bank for many years.  He enjoyed family gatherings, wintering in Florida, boating, music, ice cream and making sure that his wife always had flowers on the table.

A beloved husband, father and grandfather, Clifford is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Kathleen Scott; three children, Suzanne (James) Duffy, Jennifer (Christopher) Beaudry of Monson, Jeremy Scott of Ware; one sister, Jane (Kevin) Burnham of Monson; 7 grandchildren, Kade, Wyatt, Caera, Heather, Emma, Tabytha, Zachary and many nieces and nephews. Clifford was predeceased by his son, Joseph Scott, parents, John and Bessie Scott, brother, John Scott, sisters, Joyce Barnes and Betty Duncan.

A private memorial service with Military Honors will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Legion Post 130, 1010 Thorndike Street, Palmer, Mass.
