Bernice M (Chalue) Blakeborough

Monson-Bernice M. (Chalue) Blakeborough, 99, died Monday, January 18, 2016.  Bernice was born in Monson, MA,  May 26, 1916 to the late Benjamin Chalue and Jane (Schooler) Chalue.  She was formerly employed by Curtis Insurance Agency for 14 years. Bernice was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Monson; a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Monson Senior Center and Young at Heart in Wilbraham.  She was also a volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Bank.
Bernice was predeceased by her husband Francis J. Blakeborough in 1994. She is survived by her daughters Beverly Strzeminski and her husband Paul of West Grove PA and Carol DeLany and her husband James of Norwich Ct.  She is also survived  by three grandsons; David Strzeminski, Daniel DeLany and Michael DeLany and two great grandchildren; Mia and Samuel DeLany.  She was predeceased by nine siblings.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 4-7 at Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson, MA.  Funeral services will be Friday January 22, 2016 beginning at 9am in Lombard Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial  at 10am in St. Patrick’s Church, burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery also in Monson.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Monson Free Library 2 High St Monson, MA 01057.
