Barbara A Lamb

Barbara A. (Carrington) Lamb, 81, peacefully passed away at her home on Thursday, December 5, 2024. Born in Springfield to the late William A. and Flora (Larose) Carrington, Barbara was a proud graduate of Ludlow High School and resided in Palmer for many years before moving to Monson. With a nurturing spirit, she dedicated herself to caring for children and the intellectually disabled, first running an in-home daycare and later working as a CNA for various home healthcare agencies until her retirement.

Barbara had a passion for crocheting and knitting. She also loved playing bingo, cards, and Wii bowling at the Monson Senior Center. The friendships she cultivated at Colonial Village were very special to her, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer F. Lamb, in 2007, and her brother, David Carrington, earlier this year. Barbara is survived by her stepchildren Steven Lamb, Terrance (Terry) Lamb, Sherry Fauteux, Tina Parsons, James Lamb, and Walter Lamb as well as several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; her brother, Donald Carrington, and his wife, Dorothy; her sister-in-law, Carol (Bissonnette) Carrington; several nieces, nephews, and many cherished friends.

A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 11 AM at St. Patrick's Church in Monson. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Monson Senior Center, Main St, Monson, MA 01057
