LEOMINSTER – Armand J. McGrath, 66, passed peacefully on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Leominster Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a brief illness.
He was born in Leominster on November 1, 1957, son of the late Norman J. and Rosemarie J. (Blair) McGrath. He attended Leominster High School where he ran track. He was an avid sports fan and loved to play softball. Early in his career he was a meat cutter at Bourbeau’s Market and he later worked as a forklift operator. Armand was a funny, wisecracking guy who loved to have a good time and spend time with friends and family. He lived every day to the fullest.
He leaves his children, Kristopher McGrath and his fiancé, Tammy Dentremont of Daytona Beach FL, Tracy Nigh and her husband, Brandon of Port Orange FL, and Kelly McGrath and her fiancé, Trinity McAllister of Howard City MI; his long time companion, Donna West of Lancaster; his brothers, Peter McGrath & his wife, Karen of Ashburnham, Brian McGrath of Shirley, Jeffrey McGrath and his wife, Pauline of Saco ME, Raymond McGrath of Leominster, James McGrath and his wife, Michelle of Fitchburg, Shawn McGrath and his wife, Cindy of Athol, and Norman McGrath of Orange; his sister, Jennifer McNeaney and her husband, Timothy; his grandchildren Richie Bryan, Trinity Nigh, Taryn Nigh, Corey McGrath, and Arianna Grullon; his great-grandson Cooper Bryan; his uncle, Peter Blair; his aunt, Anita DeLisle; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph and Andrew McGrath.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 17 at 12:30 pm in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 1 Forest Street, Baldwinville followed by a committal service at St. Cecilia Cemetery, 99 St. Cecilia Street, Leominster. A calling hour will precede the Mass from 11:15 to 12:15 in St. Vincent de Paul Church.
