Alice Richardson

Alice "Betty" Richardson, 85, of Carpenter Road died Sunday May 3, 2009. Born in Palmer to the late Everett and Lois (Pease) Wood, she has been a life long resident of Monson. For many years she worked at the former Springfield Molders in Monson and prior to that she worked at A.D. Ellis Mills. Betty was a member of the East Longmeadow Dog Training Club for many years. She had a love of dog training and obedience. She was predeceased by her husband William Richardson in 1979. She leaves her sons Edward Richardson and his wife Phyllis of Belchertown and Donald Richardson and his fiance Dawn Smith of Lewiston, Maine, five grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Betty was predeceased by three brothers Raymond, John, and Charles Wood. Services will be held Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Lombard Funeral Home in Monson. A visiting hour will begin at 11:30am with a funeral service at 12:30pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Monson Senior Center Main Street Monson, MA 01057.
