Biography

Monson- Alice M. (Casey) Chaffee, 89, a former resident of Monson, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, June 14, 2011. Born in Rockville, CT to the late Otis W. and Alice M. (Taylor) Casey, she resided in Monson for many years before moving to Lenox to be closer to family. Alice enjoyed country music, singing and square dancing. She was also an excellent artist and painter.

Alice was pre-deceased by her husband George E. Chaffee Sr. in 1986. She leaves her eight children; William Chaffee and his wife Brenda of Tucson, AZ, George Chaffee Jr. and his wife Victoria of New Hampshire, James Chaffee and his wife JoAnne of Southwick, Otis Chaffee and his wife Sherry of Russell, Kathleen Saville and her husband Winston of Becket, Gloria Zink and her husband Jerry of Leesburg, FL, Wendy Hunt and her husband William of Dalton and Laura Zink and her husband Louis of Lenox; 20 grandchildren, many great grandchildren,and many great great.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 17, 2011 at Lombard Funeral Home in Monson. A visiting hour will be from 10-11 am with a funeral service at 11am, burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery also in Monson.
