Albert Leonard Poirier

Albert Poirier, 72, of Wales, enjoying that beautiful blue water, rode the biggest wave of  his life straight to heaven on April 10th. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Al adored his wife Beverly with whom he had just celebrated 50 years of friendship, love, and happiness.

He was a doting father to his 3 children: Robert and Lori Poirier, Joann and David Wright, Sherri and Mike Hoffman.  He also was a proud Pep of 9; Tiffany, Erica, Brittany, Robert, Nicholas, Anthony, Jeremy, Abagail and Bethany.  He just became a great-grandfather to Kylie. Albie was a caring brother to Patricia, Joseph and Roland Poirier and had many nieces and nephews.

He never stopped doing what he did best; being a big kid, working and playing hard.  He lived his life to the fullest and experienced everything life had to offer while helping everyone that he crossed paths with along the way.

Al was a faithful member of Bethany Charismatic Catholic Church. They were his extended family.  He especially had many great times with his friends Father Jude and Father Greg.

Love is a universal language.  It does not need to hear, speak or remember recent moments; it just is.  Love for his family was his proudest accomplishment.  All that knew him have been blessed to be touched by his kindness and caring, generous ways.

Funeral services for Al will be held on Monday, April 18th starting at 9:15 am from Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson followed by a mass at 10:00 am at the Bethany Charismatic Catholic Church 167 Dunhamtown Palmer Rd Brimfield MA.  Burial to follow at Wales #4 Cemetery in Wales.  Calling hours will be held on Sunday April 17th from 1-4pm at Lombard Funeral Home.
